On 9th and 10th of June, 2016, the Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography together with the Special Psychopedagogy Department of Babes-Bolyai University and the Special Highschool for Visual Impairments Cluj-Napoca organised a new activity within the BaGMIVI Project (Bridging the Gap between Museums and Individuals with Visual Impairment) which unfolds in the Erasmus+ Program. ETHNOGRAPHIC PARK „Romulus Vuia”. Every year the schedule of the Park is changing depending on the hour change (winter hour in October and summer hour in March).

- Monday and Tuesday closed.

Wednesday – Sunday 10-18

Situated in the historical centre of the city. The access to the information is facilitated for various categories of persons with disabilities by a permanent tactile exhibition designed especially to the persons with visual impairments and by special platforms that make possible the access for the persons with locomotive disabilities.

Ticket price:

Adults: 10 lei/person.
Preschoolers, pupils, students: 2.50 lei
Adults with moderate / mild disabilities: 2.50 lei/person.
Pensioners, war veterans and their widows: 5 lei/person.
Group of visitors minimum 10 people: 7.50 lei/person.
Guide – groups of at least 10 people
- guide in Romanian 50 lei/group
- guide* in Hungarian, English and French 50 lei/group
- *foreign language guidance requires an appointment
Amateur photo fee: 5 lei/camera

Situated at the city outskirts near to Hoia Forest. You can get to the Park by bus (no 26, 27, 28, 30, 41 – to Piata 14 iulie – 14th of July Square or no 37 from Mihai Viteazul Square to the Industrial Park Tetarom – situated in the closed proximity of the Ethnographical Park) – see the buss schedule here; by taxi – see the main taxi companies in Cluj-Napoca here

The Transylvanian Museum of Ethnography has 3 museum shops where the traditional arts and souvenirs lovers could buy items made by the contemporary folk craftsmen and artists in Romania. The museum shops offer to the visitors various traditional items (folk costumes, popttery recipients, cups, plates, textile fabrics tablecloths and towels, traditional hat, icons on wood and on glass etc.) rigorously selected by the scientific museum staff.

Tactile Exhibition

The tactile exhibition “Touch and Understand – the Tactile Message of the Traditional Peasant Objects” was made in the year 2009 having the support of the Administration of the National Cultural Fund within the project “Equal Changes in the Access to Culture”.
